"The Casting Couch Mentality Still Exists," Says Television Actor Abhinav Choudhary - EXCLUSIVE
Actor Abhinav Choudhary, who made his acting debut with Paramavtar Shri Krishna (Mahabharat ka aarambh), has also played different characters in projects like Dadi Amma Dadi Amma Maan Jao, Nirpeksha and Paapnashini Ganga.

On being asked if he had ever faced any casting couch experience, Abhinav says, "Many newcomers have to go through the mental and physical torment of the casting couch phase in their careers. Unfortunately, I belong to many of these newcomers. I can't deny the fact that the casting couch mentality still exists. It's really sad to see things like this where few people are mixing their personal desires into their profession and making decisions based on personal benefits and not because of talent. This not only impacts the person at the receiving end of it but also hampers the goodwill of the industry and genuine people here." Talking about the same, he says, "Even though the casting couch phenomenon and people who practice this still exist, but no one is forcing you for a compromise. You always have the option of walking out on those people. I have met quite a few people here who tried to manipulate me, but ultimately it's your choice. If you know what your goal is, no one can get in the way and stop you for very long. I have been fortunate enough to work with some remarkable people around me from good and reputed production houses who give chance to newcomers like me and respect their talent."
